It was only formatted to use 120 GB --- Windows 10 showed 120 GB ; the rest was unallocated --- so the cloning should have only cloned 120 GB. Windows was only showing the allocated amount. The disk's partition tables would show 320GB. Cloning makes a compressed image of the original disk.
